To use a modern example, anyone of you unfortunate enough to have seen ‘Rambo’, (the original), will recall the last scene where Stallone acts dead in the pilot’s seat of the helicopter he and his freed captives are in. From their standpoint, watching topless sunbathers and men kissing one another is the moral equivalent of asking Western parents to view images of child abuse. This book is really well written and kind of shows more than war. But Hilaree was deeply offended and insisted that she should go for the summit.

My Note: I do not know what happened with the American Frontier list – only two of those books are set in America; the others are set in the Netherlands, England and Japan! It is probable that many of us who are interested in the Alhambra, have seen beautiful pictures of it, but when you are coming closer, the magnificence of its physical aspect seeming to touch the deep Grenadine sky together with originality is breathtaking. Left alone to guard the family's wilderness home in eighteenth-century Maine, a boy is hard-pressed to survive until local Indians teach him their skills.
