Anorexia is an eating disorder that involves fear of becoming or being fat, intensive dieting or exercise, and a distorted body image. There are no dues or fees for EDA membership. Having found Julia Buckroyds CPD presentation on Bulimia very infomative, I am looking forward to hear her talk on Anorexia Nervosa (AN) in Exeter tomorrow. Antidepressants are effective as one component of an initial treatment program for most bulimia nervosa patients [I], with SSRI treatment having the most evidence for efficacy and the fewest difficulties with adverse effects [I].
